ability to reflect about the project and make a critical assessment about it

persönliche Entwicklung / Erwerb von sozialen und personalen Kompetenzen

Despite the fact that all the members said they had fun and enjoyed the group, a number of them commented that they wished that other members would pay more attention. One member commented, “I didn’t like how people weren’t cooperating sometimes.” But in the same questionnaire this individual pointed out that her favorite thing was that they “worked together and succeeded to do a play.” It seems as though many of the members realized they could have gotten even more out of the group. With a sense of ownership of the project, they were able to point out its flaws.

Evaluierung der Aktivität

The evaluation of the project consisted of a series of qualitative data components collected throughout the process. The primary focus of the analysis was on the assessment of the growth in the group decision making skills as well as the growth in individuals’ ability to work as a group. These assessments were made by analyzing journals, a video taped session, and group leader observation. Brief questionnaires were also given to the participants before the final performance as well as to the adults who attended the final performance.
