Similarly, the capacity of volunteering to help young people develop skills to further help others was recognised with 80% agreeing that participation in Gamechangers cause campaigns assisted them in developing their mentoring capacities, improving their character (59%) and engaging in more volunteering (88%). Volunteers were also asked to assess the extent to which they felt a range of personal skills had increased, decreased or stayed the same.

Vinspired is an initiative promoting and enabling volunteering, aims to make volunteering diverse, attractive and accessible to a wide range of young people; Gamechangers is a programme enabling young people to volunteer at major sporting events.
