providing changes for international exposure by breaking down isolation of local communities
Evidence on the involvement of local communities in the programme was recurrently mentioned by interviewed organisations and NCs. This occurred for all types of activities (actions 1, 2 and 5) supported by the programme. These include: • bringing the European Union closer to the Mediterranean citizens; • break down isolation of local communities and providing a unique chance for some young people (Palestinians) to get international exposure; • enhancing respect and tolerance for EU people and opening the community to the rest of the world.
